On March 12, 2023, troops of Border Out Post Asaridah, 35 Battalion, under the South Bengal Frontier, distributed essential items to needy people living on the border, including chairs and tables for a school, computers, and sports equipment for youth under the Civic Action Program. About 635 villagers and children from nearby villages participated in these camps.
A medical camp was also organized, during which free checkups of the villagers were conducted, and free medicines were distributed.
Additionally, the jawans organized a volleyball match between the Manichak and Lavangola teams and cultural presentations by the children to entertain the villagers and dignitaries present in the camp.
The people of the area highly appreciated the camps set up by the BSF and urged the BSF to organize more such programs in the future.
The Commanding Officer of the 35 Battalion highly appreciated the noble deed done by the jawans and stated that such programs create a good image of the force. He also stated that such programs will be organized in the future in the border areas.
