Union Minister Ramdas Athawale reviews progress of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment’s schemes in Guwahati

Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment  Ramdas Athawale today visited Guwahati and reviewed the schemes of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India.

Athawale said that the Union government is working for rapid job creation in the North Eastern states by the development of industrial sectors.

Addressing the media in Guwahati today, the Union Minister of State said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working for development and welfare of the people. His government is working to develop the industrial sectors in North Eastern areas as it will create ample jobs for the youths.

He informed that 44 lakh people benefited from the PM Ujjwala scheme and 2 Crore 20 Lakh 18 thousand Jan Dhan accounts have been opened in Assam till now . Under PM’s Mudra Yojona which started in 2015, about 98 lakh 50 thousand beneficiaries got benefits in Assam, while 79 thousand people in Assam benefited from Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojona (urban). Under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, about 6 lakh 19 thousand people were benefited in Assam.

The Union Minister of State informed that his government is concerned about the youths as it provided financial assistance for establishment of 113 De-addiction Centre in Assam. He also praised the active action of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma for all-round development of Assam and welfare of people.
