Bharat Gaurav Train flagged off from Guwahati for Arunachal Pradesh

Bharat Gaurav Train “North East Discovery: Beyond Guwahati”, specially designed tour to cover the North-eastern states of India, was flagged off on 24th March, 2023 from Guwahati Railway Station.

The train departed for its next destination i.e. Naharlagun Railway Station in Arunachal Pradesh. The train arrived at Guwahati Station on 23rd March after starting its journey from Delhi’s Safdarjung station on 21st March with tourist.

The train was virtually flagged off by  Pema Khandu,  Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh and Raosaheb Patil Danve, Union Minister of State for Railways, Coal and Mines, .  Anshul Gupta, General Manager, N. F. Railway, Sunil Kumar Jha, General Manager, N. F. Railway (Construction) and Prem Ranjan Kumar, Divisional Railway Manager, Lumding along with other senior officials of Headquarter and Divisions were also present at Guwahati Railway Station during the flagging off ceremony.

The dignitaries expressed immense pleasure on operation of the Bharat Gaurav Train to discover and experience the unique natural beauty and the rich cultural life of the NE region. The initiative taken by the Indian Railways and IRCTC to promote Tourism across the country under the project named ‘Bharat Gaurav’ deserves deep appreciation and support from all quarters. With the running of this Bharat Gaurav Train, tourism sector will get a huge boost in all the north-eastern states.
