BSF ORGANIZES MEDICAL CAMPS AND CIVIC ACTION PROGRAMS ON THE BORDER; HUNDREDS OF VILLAGERS AND CHILDREN BENEFITED

On 24th March, 2023, the troops of Border Out Post Agra, 159 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier organized a medical camp under Civic action program on the border in the presence of Dr. Arif Muhammad, MBBS, R N Roy Hospital, Bulbulchandi and Chief Medical Officer of 159 Battalion.

Approximately 475 villagers were benefited through this medical camp. Total Medicines worth Rs. 52,155/- were distributed among the villagers.

In addition, the troops of 70 Battalion, organized a Civic Action Programme at Gourio High school, Peasbari in which 295 students and teachers from Gourio High School (Peasbari), Maharajapur High School (Kanchantar), Primary High school (M S Pur) and 40 villagers including Members of village Peasbari, Kanchantar and MS Pur were present. During the Civic Action Program, School Bags, Mosquito Net, Carrom Board, Sintex, White Board, Dustbin, various sports items and stationary items worth Rs 1,85,000/- were distributed among the school children and villagers.

The villagers and attendees highly appreciated the programme and urged BSF to organize similar events in the future.

The Civic Action Programme is one of the many initiatives undertaken by BSF to support and serve the local population while promoting a healthy relationship between the BSF and the community. The success of the programme is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the BSF in fulfilling its responsibilities of safeguarding the nation’s borders and providing support to the local population.
