BSF EVACUATES PERSON SUFFERING FROM HEART ATTACK TO THE HOSPITAL AND GETS HIM TREATED

On April 10, 2023, at Shikarpur village, in the area of Border Out Post Shikarpur, 86 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier, Vishwanath Malakar (70), suddenly suffered a heart attack. Due to the lack of means of transport in the village, the patient’s family members approached the company commander of the border post, Shikarpur, and informed him of the incident. Without delay, the coy commander sent a Nursing Assistant to the patient’s house along with a BSF ambulance. The patient was then taken to Karimpur Rural Hospital for further treatment. Currently, the patient’s condition is stable, and he is out of danger.

The relatives of Vishwanath Malakar expressed their gratitude to the Border Security Force for their humanitarian assistance. They acknowledged that the BSF is always ready to help the border residents in every situation. The family members believed that, without the BSF’s prompt intervention, the patient’s life could have been lost.

The Commanding Officer of the 86 Battalion expressed his satisfaction with the commendable work of the jawans. He said that the Border Security Force stands with the border residents during every happy and sorrowful moment. He stated that it is their duty to help the border villagers on the basis of human values, in addition to guarding the border. This helps maintain good relations between the villagers and the BSF.
