The Border Security Force (BSF) has yet again demonstrated its commitment towards serving the border residents of the country by promptly responding to a fire incident in Nutanpara (Rajapur) and Charalwangola (Tavarpara) villages on 13th April 2023. The jawans of the 35 Battalion of the South Bengal Frontier acted swiftly to control the fire and ensure the safety of the affected residents.
In the first incident, a sudden fire broke out in the house of Sonaram Mandal in Nutanpara village, and the BSF jawans from Border Outpost Madanghat, 35 Battalion immediately rushed to the spot with fire extinguishers. They brought the fire under control after a lot of effort, but Sonaram Mandal suffered partial burns and a woman named Sadamani Mandal fainted after seeing the incident. The BSF evacuated both the victims to Nashirpur Government Hospital, and their condition is now stable.
In the second incident, troops of Border Outpost Lavangola, 35 Battalion doused a fire in Charalwangola village, which had engulfed the houses of six villagers. Though there was no loss of life, the goods kept in the houses were burnt to ashes.
The prompt and efficient response of the BSF jawans has been lauded by the villagers of Nutan Rajapur and Charalwangola, who expressed their gratitude towards the Border Security Force. They stated that if the BSF had not arrived on time, the fire could have taken a formidable form and gutted many more houses.
The Commanding Officer of the 35 Battalion expressed satisfaction over the commendable work of the jawans and reiterated that the BSF is committed to serving the border residents in every happiness and sorrow. This helps to maintain better relations between the Border Security Force and the border residents, in addition to curbing crimes on the border.
The BSF’s timely response to the fire incident has set an example of humanity and dedication towards serving the nation. The Border Security Force remains vigilant and committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of the border residents.
