The Border Security Force (BSF) is known for its dedication and prompt action towards the welfare of border residents. The jawans of the 70 Battalion of the South Bengal Frontier have set an excellent example of this on April 17, 2023.
Hajera Khatoon (24), a pregnant woman from M S Pur village, began experiencing labor pains. Due to the lack of ambulance and transportation means in the village, her relatives approached the company commander of BSF border outpost Mahadipur for help. Without wasting any time, the company commander sent a BSF ambulance to her house, and she was taken to the Primary Health Center in Gulapganj. The woman’s condition is now stable.
Safikul Islam, the woman’s husband, expressed his gratitude towards the Border Security Force for their humanitarian work. He said, “BSF always stands like an angel in our every happiness and sorrow.”
The Commanding Officer of the 70 Battalion expressed his satisfaction over the commendable work of the jawans. He stated that the BSF is always ready to help the border residents and curb the crimes taking place on the border. Such actions help in maintaining better relations between the Border Security Force and the border residents.
