The Border Security Force (BSF) once again proved its commitment to humanitarian values by facilitating the last glimpse of a deceased person for her sister across the border.

On April 23, 2023, Aminuddin Dafadar, a member of the border village Hariharpur under South Bengal Frontier, approached the company commander of Border Out Post Madhupur, 68 Battalion, requesting that Sabar Khan’s sister living in Bangladesh be allowed to pay her last respects to her brother who had passed away.

In a show of compassion and promptness, the company commander contacted the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) officials and made the necessary arrangements for the sister to visit near the international border. Both the border security forces of India and Bangladesh cooperated to ensure that the sister was able to see her brother for the last time, keeping humanity at the forefront.

The relatives of the deceased expressed their gratitude to the BSF for this compassionate initiative. They stated that it was because of the BSF that they were able to see their brother and bid him a final farewell.

A spokesperson for BSF’s South Bengal Frontier highlighted that the BSF always prioritizes social and human values. The BSF troops deployed on the border work tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of the country and the residents of the border areas. The spokesperson emphasized that the BSF is committed to upholding human values and stands against those with malicious intentions. The BSF is always ready to extend help in situations that require compassion and empathy.
