A ten day adventure camp for 140 children of public schools and army personnel serving in West Bengal, Jharkhand and Sikkim in addition to the seven North Eastern states commenced on 15 May 2023 at Rhenock, Sikkim.

An initiative of Headquarters Eastern Command, the camp aims at building a spirit of adventure, building character qualities, inculcating discipline and exposing our future generation to several ongoing National level Initiatives including Khelo India, Green India and Swachh Bharat. The children will be exposed to the rich heritage of Sikkim and also get an opportunity to meet war heroes as well as eminent sports persons. The adventure camp was declared open by General Office Commanding, Black Cat Division, in a vibrant ceremony of cultural and martial dances. Speaking on the occasion, the General Officer conveyed his compliments to the children for choosing to attend this adventure event. He urged them to avail this opportunity through the adventure camp for building self-confidence, explore the diversity of Sikkim and understand our responsibilities towards the Nation.
