On the night of May 20, 2023, around 20:20 hours, a noteworthy incident occurred in the vicinity of Border Outpost Ranaghat, 68 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier. Begum Biswas, a 40-year-old woman from Rajkol village, suddenly experienced a severe fever and dizziness.

The woman’s relatives promptly sought assistance from the Ranghat company commander. Without any delay, the company commander dispatched a Nursing Assistant with a BSF ambulance to the woman’s residence. Subsequently, she was admitted to Bagdah Rural Hospital. Thankfully, her condition is now stable and out of danger.

Expressing their gratitude, the woman’s family members conveyed their appreciation to the Border Security Force. They acknowledged that if the timely aid from the BSF jawans had not been provided, a significant mishap could have occurred.

The Commanding Officer of the 68 Battalion emphasized that the BSF consistently upholds social and humanitarian values. Alongside their efforts to combat border crimes, they stand with the people residing along the border in times of both joy and sorrow. Such noble actions foster harmonious relations between the BSF and civilians.
