International Tea Day : Do you know which place is called the land of tea in World ?

The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed May 21st as International Tea Day in 2019.

Every year 21st of May is celebrated as International Tea Day.

Tea is one of the most popular beverages in the world.

In the Northeastern States of India,  Assam is called the land of tea in the world.

More than 750 tea gardens in Assam. The tea of Assam is now mostly grown at or near sea level and is known for its body, briskness, malty flavour, and strong, bright colour.

 

Dibrugarh, Tinsukia and Sivasagar are among the top tea-producing districts of Assam. These three districts account for approximately 50% of Assam tea in India.

The City of Dibrugarh of Assam is called “tea capital of India”. From left to write you found tea gardens in this beautiful city.
