Along with guarding the International Border, the Border Security Force (BSF) organizes various programs from time to time to create awareness and enthusiasm for the security forces among the youth of the border area. In this connection, an arms exhibition was displayed on May 22, 2023 from 0945 to 1035 hours at Sodepur, the border post of the 85 Battalion deployed in the border area of North 24 Parganas district under South Bengal Frontier. In the weapon exhibition, the school children were also informed about the special equipment used in the duty.
A total of 35 students and 05 teachers of Tokipur Rajalakshmi High School, Taki from the border area participated in this exhibition.
The commanding officer of the 85 Battalion stated that the Border Security Force conducts various programs from time to time for the students living in the border areas to join the Indian Security Forces, such as physical training, information about the recruitment process, classes for written examination, computer knowledge, Keeps organizing information about weapons etc.
