The Border Security Force (BSF) once again showcased their unwavering commitment to assisting border residents across the country, as exemplified by the jawans of the 86th Battalion under the South Bengal Frontier.

On May 24, 2023, around 9:00 PM, a distressing incident unfolded in Kuttipara village. Paritosh Sarkar (30 years old) attempted suicide by consuming poison due to a family dispute. His condition rapidly deteriorated, prompting his concerned relatives to swiftly transport him to the Shikarpur border outpost, seeking urgent help. The company commander promptly dispatched a BSF ambulance, along with the unconscious individual and his family, to Karimpur Hospital for immediate medical attention. Thankfully, the patient’s condition is now stable and out of danger.

Paritosh Sarkar’s relatives expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Border Security Force for their compassionate and humanitarian efforts, emphasizing that the BSF consistently emerges as a guardian angel for border residents in all circumstances.

The Commanding Officer of the 86th Battalion expressed his delight and commended the exemplary work of the jawans. He highlighted that alongside their primary responsibility of countering border crimes, the Border Security Force stands by the side of border residents in times of both joy and sorrow. This concerted effort plays a crucial role in fostering a harmonious relationship between the BSF and the border residents.
