BSF JAWANS SEIZE 300 BOTTLES OF PHENSEDYL AT INDO-BANGLADESH BORDER

Defeating the ill-intentions of smugglers, BSF troops under South Bengal Frontier seized 300 bottles of Phensedyl from their area of ​​responsibility on the Indo-Bangladesh International Border. The estimated value of the seized Phensedyl has been estimated at Rs 67,752/-.

The incident took place on the morning of 7th June, 2023 at around 0330 hrs, in the area of ​​Border Out Post Jalangi, 141 Battalion. Acting on the information of the Intelligence Department, as soon as the jawans on duty suspected some suspicious activities in their area, they immediately started cordoning off the smugglers along with the patrol team. Seeing the troops coming towards them, the smugglers took advantage of the rough ground and ran away. During a thorough search of the area, the jawans seized 300 bottles of Phensedyl from the spot.

The seized material has been handed over to Police Station Jalangi for further legal action.

The commanding officer of 141 Battalion expressed happiness over the success of the jawans and stated that it was only a reflection of the alertness displayed by their jawans on duty. He has urged the people not to adopt the route of smuggling under any circumstances. He also stated in strong words that BSF jawans will not allow smuggling or any other type of crime to take place on the border and will not leave the persons involved in it under any circumstances.
