In anticipation of the upcoming International Yoga Day, the Border Security Force (BSF) jawans organized a yoga program aimed at promoting physical and mental well-being. While the entire country gears up to celebrate the International Day of Yoga with great enthusiasm, the BSF personnel actively participate, aligning their duties of safeguarding the nation with the practice of yoga.
On June 10, 2023, at 6 am, the jawans from the 112th Battalion stationed at the Mihir outpost and the 145th Battalion came together to organize a yoga program in the ICP Petrapole Complex area. A total of 89 jawans actively participated in this program, with the primary objective of creating awareness among the jawans about the numerous physical and mental benefits of yoga.
Since the inception of the International Day of Yoga, the BSF has incorporated yoga into its daily physical exercise routine. As a result, yoga has become an integral part of the Border Security Force’s regimen. All officers and jawans deployed along the international border by the BSF have received training in yoga, enabling them to enhance their overall health and well-being. Yoga has played a vital role in maintaining the mental and physical fitness of the dedicated jawans.
The Commanding Officer of the 112th Battalion emphasized that yoga is an essential aspect of life. The BSF jawans remain committed to promoting a healthy lifestyle and encouraging the adoption of yoga for physical and mental well-being. Their proactive efforts exemplify the dedication and spirit of the BSF in fostering a fitter and more harmonious society.
