India wins the 2023 Women’s Junior Asia Cup and defeated South Korea 2-1 in the final which was played in Japan.
Annu and Neelam scored one goal each for India.
It was the Indian Women’s Junior Hockey Team’s first Asia Cup title.
President of Hockey India Dilip Kumar Tirkey tweeted,” Congratulations to our incredible Indian Women’s Hockey Team on their outstanding performance in the Women’s Junior Asia Cup 2023! What a historic moment! You’ve made the nation proud with your Gold medal victory against Korea, showcasing immense skill and determination.”
