As part of the nationwide Celebration of completing 75 years of Independence through ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and to commemorate India assuming Chairmanship of the prestigious G20, the Indian Navy will conduct of National level Quiz titled ‘The Indian Navy Quiz 2023’. This unique quiz is exclusively designed for school children studying in Classes IX to Class XII and will be conducted from August to November 2023, comprising two phases: the National Round and the International Round.
The previous edition of THINQ-22 witnessed an overwhelming participation of 6425 schools. This year, the Indian Navy anticipates the participation of more than 10,000 schools from across the country. ‘The Indian Navy Quiz 2023’ promises to be an unparalleled experience, making it one of the largest quiz events to be conducted nationwide.
The primary objective of THINQ-23 is to inspire young school children, who are the future leaders of India, to become nation builders by instilling in them a strong sense of patriotism, dedication, discipline, and pride in our rich Indian heritage, culture, and values.
The event will be conducted by a professional Quiz Master. After multiple online elimination rounds, 16 schools will qualify for the Semi-Finals, followed by eight teams advancing to the Finals. The semi-finals and finals will provide participants with a unique opportunity to gain insights into the naval way of life onboard ships and submarines based at Naval Dockyard, Mumbai.
Jury will identify the two best quizzers from the finalists to form ‘Team India,’ representing the country in the International Round. They will compete against teams selected from G20 and nine other Indo-Pacific countries. The semi-finals and finals of the International Round will be held at India Gate, New Delhi, towards the end of November 2023, coinciding with the Navy Day Celebrations.
Participants in ‘The Indian Navy Quiz 2023’ can not only expect a rich and unique experience but also have the chance to win attractive prizes at various levels. Additionally, all participants will receive specially designed participation e-certificates. The Indian Navy will arrange travel, boarding, and lodging expenses for the 16 semi-finalists and participants of the International Round finals.
