On 15th August, 2023, on the occasion of 77th Independence Day of India BSF exchanged sweets and greetings with Border Guard Bangladesh at ICP Petrapole, Mahadipur, Ghojadanga, Gede and other border posts under South Bengal Frontier.
The border guarding forces of both countries have harmonious and cordial relations and security forces of both the countries have been following such traditions for a long time to maintain cordial relations by exchanging sweets on the occasion of their festivals and Independence Day.
This year too, Border Outposts of Border Security Force and Border Guard Bangladesh exchanged sweets and greetings and gave best wishes.
Along with greetings on Independence Day, the Border Security Force is maintaining alertness and strict vigil in the border areas.
