Somsai Battalion Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) interacted with the faculty members and students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Poi Village, Ukhrul district, Manipur on 31 Aug 2023.
36 students and 05 faculty members of the school interacted and requested assistance for the upcoming celebrations on Teachers day. Prompt administrative assistance was provided for the celebrations.
The students happily pinned the Teacher’s day celebratory badges on all the soldiers of Poi COB and wished their well-being. The school faculty also treasured the connect that the Assam Rifles shares with the school.
Further to its efforts in inculcating sportsman spirit amongst the youth , Assam Rifles organised a friendly Volleyball match at S khulen at Henglep Sub Division, Dist Churachandpur, under the aegis of Headquarters IGAR(South) on 31 August 2023. The players were picked up from troops of Assam Rifles, youth from S Khullen and Lhangaimol villages. The thrilling and zestful match was witnessed by a large number of spectators from adjoining villages including ladies, youth and children.
