Assam Rifles under IGAR(South) organised security and coordination meet with village authorities and locals of Shangshak village on 31 Aug 23. The event was attended by 11 prominent personalities at Shangshak Headquarters , Ukhrul District with the discussion revolving around coordination with security forces amidst the on going IS situation. The locals assured their support to Assam Rifles in maintaining peace and stability, and in guiding young individuals towards education and societal progress instead of falling into the clutches of drugs by fostering resilience given the tense security scenario in Manipur.
The village committee gave their wholehearted assurance to cooperate with the Assam Rifles for the betterment of Area around Shangshak. In Pallel Town, Kakching on 30 August 2023 Assam Rifles conducted a successful flag march with the aim to bolster regional peace and security. Covering key areas such as markets, residential areas & public spaces, Assam Rifles personnel engaged directly with residents, ushering in unity and safety amongst the populace.
This event showcased the indispensable partnership between the community and Assam Rifles, working together harmoniously to ensure a peaceful environment.
