With the entire second innings of Pakistan yet to be played in the Asia Cup Cricket rain stopped the play between India and Pakistan’s high voltage match which was played at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy.
Earlier India won the toss and decided to bat first. At one stage India was struggling 66 for 4 but Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya rescued India’s 135-run partnership in the fifth wicket. India reached 200 in the 37th over.
India scored 266 all out in 48.5 overs. Ishan Kishan scored 82 and Hardik Pandya 87 for India. Shaheen Afridi picked four wickets for India in 35 runs and Naseem Shah 3/36.
Pakistan already qualified for the Super Four. While India’s place in the Super Four is yet to be confirmed. Earlier they defeated Nepal.
India’s next match will be played with Nepal which will be played on the 4 September at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy.
