43 Bn BSF Meghalaya in a joint ops with Meghalaya Police, seized two trucks loaded with huge quantity of smuggled dry betel nuts worth Rs 40 lakhs from the International border of South Garo Hills.
The joint operation was carried out in the bordering area of Gaonbari, under the jurisdiction of PS-Rongra, where two trucks loaded with a huge quantity of dry betel nuts were confiscated and seized by the joint operation team.
The seized trucks along with the consignment of betel nuts were handed over to PS-Rongra. An FIR was lodged for further legal action.
