The 2nd Inter Command Women’s Aquatic Competition – 2023, hosted by the South Bengal Frontier (BSF) from September 13 to 14, concluded under the auspices of Sonali Mishra, IPS, Additional Director General of BSF (Eastern Command). Shri Ayush Mani Tiwari, IPS, Inspector General of Frontier Headquarters South Bengal, senior officers, subordinates, and jawans were present to mark the event’s closure.
This two-day event featured female swimmers from 11 BSF frontiers, aiming to unearth new talent and identify women athletes capable of representing the force in national and international competitions.
The Eastern Command dominated the medal standings with 09 Gold and 09 Silver medals, securing the overall championship trophy. The title of the best swimmer was earned by Eastern Command’s female constable, Sushmita Chaudhary.
Sonali Mishra, IPS, Additional Director General, expressed her joy at the players’ achievements and extended her congratulations. She emphasized that these women athletes have brought honor to BSF Eastern Command, Kolkata, by achieving victory. She encouraged the players, wishing them a bright future, and affirmed that female athletes will continue to uphold the force’s honor and respect through various sports in the future.
