Director General, Border Security Force, Nitin Agrawal, IPS is visiting Meghalaya Frontier BSF from 19th to 20th Sep’ 2023 for reviewing the current security scenario and operational preparedness on Indo-Bangladesh border.
On 19 Sep’ 2023, DG BSF was welcomed by IG BSF Meghalaya Pradip Kumar, IPS and other senior officers at BSF campus Umpling. IG BSF Meghalaya briefed the DG about the general security scenario and operational preparedness on the Indo – Bangladesh border of Meghalaya Frontier. The IG also briefed the DG about the challenges along the Indo-Bangladesh border and measures taken to counter them.
DG BSF interacted with field commanders and applauded the dedication of BSF personnel in safeguarding the borders and their efforts to control crime along the Indo-Bangladesh border.
During the visit, DG BSF also inaugurated the Officers’ Institute at BSF Frontier HQ Umpling.
