Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South), conducted “Tree Plantation Drive”at Kharasom CV village of Ukhrul District, Manipur on 3rd October .
The locals along with enthusiastic school children came together for planting tree saplings and revitalising ecosystems.The event focused on creating awareness amongst the participants, promoting afforestation, helping towards creating clean and green environment thereby reducing impacts of global warming. A total 135 saplings of pine trees have been planted alongwith Kharasom CV villagers to promote awareness about the importance of conserving forests.
