Vigilant Jawans of Border Outpost Mustafapur, 107 Battalion. BSF Under the South Bengal Frontier on the India-Bangladesh border Carried out an ambush-based operation on specific information and seized a huge consignment of 22 kg of Ganja from their area of responsibility. When smugglers were trying to cross these Contraband items from India to Bangladesh.
According to the information, this incident happened late at night on 06 October 2023 when jawans of border Outpost-Mustafapur, 107 Battalion, BSF received information regarding the smuggling of ganja from reliable sources. As soon as the information was received, jawans laid a special ambush at the suspicious place. At around 2150 hours, Jawans saw three people going towards the international border from India to Bangladesh with some Potla on their heads. Jawans ran towards the smugglers to Catch them and challenge them, the smugglers dropped the goods and took advantage of the dense bushes and darkness they ran away towards the Indian side. Then Jawans conducted a thorough search of the surrounding area in which they found 11 bundles of ganja in two sacks whose total weight was 22 kg.
The seized items have been handed over to the concerned police station for further legal action.

He said that this is a reflection of the vigilance shown by BSF Jawans on duty. He said in strong words that BSF Jawans will not allow smuggling or any other kind of crime to take place on the international border under any circumstances.
