As part of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Assam Rifles organized an awareness program at Gateway International School, Zion Veng, Moreh (Tengnoupal District) on 13th October.
This comprehensive awareness program aimed to combat substance abuse by shedding light on the bad effects of drug addiction on the individual and on the society as a whole. The event attracted a diverse audience of 85 participants including students, faculty members, youth and village representatives.
The participating students were given stationery supplies and boarders received essential provisions. Further, all the participants held a healthy discussion on the subject during refreshments breaks.
The event concluded with a solemn pledge-taking ceremony, wherein the participants pledged their commitment to a drug-free society.
