Assam Rifles participated in “Run For Unity” to observe the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel on “National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas)” on 31 October 2023.
The Run For Unity was organised from Swami Vivekananda Maidan where Ratan Lal Nath,Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Power & Election, Govt. of Tripura delivered a speech bringing out the essence of Unity and the efforts put in by Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel throughout his life to achieve the same, followed by flagging off of the ‘Run for Unity’ programme.
The event was attended by Santana Chakma, Minister of Industries & Commerce, Govt of Tripura, representatives from various government agencies, & students from local district schools. A total of 42 persons from Assam Rifles participated in the event.
Assam Rifles also conducted “Run For Unity” campaign in Agartala and Udaipur of Tripura wherein 254 defence personnel participated with full zeal and vigour.
