On 3rd November 2023, Troops of South Bengal Frontier, BSF organized a series of events during Vigilance Awareness Week 2023 across prominent locations under south bengal frontier against the corruption, Under the overarching theme “Say no to Corruption: commit to the Nation,” these initiatives sought to awaken public consciousness and inspire collective commitment.
The Oath ceremony, administered by Mukesh Tyagi, DIG/Principal Staff Officer of Frontier Headquarters South Bengal. All officers, sub-ordinate officers, and Jawans collectively pledged to uphold the motto “Say No to Corruption; Commit to the Nation.”
Frontier Headquarters, South Bengal Campus, Kolkata, along with Composite Hospital, Salt Lake Campus, and Kenderiya Vidyalaya BSF, Aradhpur, Dist-Malda (WB), played host to a vibrant array of activities. These included Quiz, Debate, and Essay competitions, aimed at encouraging critical thinking and creative expression, as well as a lecture and a powerful video on Public Interest Disclosure and Protection, emphasizing the importance of reporting wrongdoings while safeguarding whistleblowers.In a remarkable show of solidarity, BSF Troops and 359 students actively engaged in these events, demonstrating their commitment to a corruption-free nation.
Further amplifying the message, a rally was organized by Sector Headquarters, Krishna Nagar, to raise awareness among the civilian population about the scourge of corruption and the imperative of taking a stand against it.
A.K Arya, DIG, Public Relations Officer, South Bengal Frontier said that these events underscore the collective effort towards building a more transparent, accountable, and ethical society. he further said that by engaging and educating both the BSF and civilian communities, we are taking significant steps towards a future free from corruption and dedicated to the progress of our nation.
