Bharatiya Gana Parishad (BGP), a regional party of linguistic minorities in Assam on Sunday said a press meet in Guwahati they don’t want Barak Valley of Assam as a separate state. BGP working president Santanu Mukherjee said addressing a press conference.
Party leaders also said that that they would contest all fourteen seats of Assam the upcoming Lok Sabha election to counter the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress.
“There are many MLAs from Hindu Bengalis in the state assembly from BJP and Congress and Ems in the autonomous councils. However, they have failed to raise the issues on the proper platform.
