In its ongoing commitment to the youth of the State, Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (S) provided career guidance to students at St Joseph High School, Chandel on 06 Nov 2023. The career guidance programme for Tribal Students & Youth was organised by Tribal Research Institute, Department of Tribal Affairs & Hills, Manipur with the support of Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India.
The eminent speakers from various sectors such as Banking, Medical, Entrepreneurship and Defence Forces exhorted the students to hone themselves diligently into the fine future citizens of the country.
BS Chawan, manager SBI Chandel, Dr. Cingdeihnieang, District AIDS control officer, Chandel & Tengnoupal, Chinir Solomon, Entrepreneur and Maj Abdul Karim, Coy commander, Assam Rifles shared information, opportunities and personal experiences about their respective sectors to motivate the youth to excel in their choice fields.
The programme emphasised the need of the hour for the youth of Manipur to embark on a route of higher education and challenging career options to improve their overall wellbeing.
The event witnessed an overwhelming response from the students of Chandel District with appx 400 students, youths and teachers.
The students and organizers expressed their gratitude to Assam Rifles as it enlightened on various opportunities in Armed forces as a career.
