Assam Rifles distributed Ten water storage tanks to the indigent people of Irangulang Village in Tamenglong district, Manipur on 25th November 2023.
More than 200 people had assembled at the Community hall of the village for conduct of the programme which commenced with welcoming of Assam Rifles by the villagers. The conduct entailed distribution of the water storage tanks, a speech and refreshments for the congregation.
The project was proposed with an aim to cope with the changing global climate and errant rainfalls in the area. Provision of the water storage tanks would aid the villagers with ready water supply whenever required for personal, agricultural or commercial motive.
The jubilant villagers extended a vote of gratitude to Assam Rifles for this thoughtful gesture.
