Rescue operations continues till mid night.
Total of 1217 tourist evacuated in the night to 17 mile, given dinner and bed. Civil administration officials are moving from Gangtok to 17 mile for co-ordinating their move back to Gangtok.
RESCUE OPERATION UPDATE:
Urgent medical assistance was also provided in addition to food and accommodation.
A similar request for Aid was made by local SHO of Lachung for evacuation of 25-30 tourists that got stuck due to snow ahead of lachung. Requisite Aid was provided in military vehicles and tourists brought back to their accommodation in lachung town.
