The Royal Calcutta Turf Club (RCTC) witnessed an awe-inspiring spectacle as part of the 52nd Vijay Diwas celebrations, hosted by the Indian Army on 15th December 2023.
Lieutenant General Rana Pratap Kalita, Army Commander Eastern Command, graced the event as the esteemed chief guest, joined by senior military, civilian dignitaries, and esteemed guests from Bangladesh. The grand event, open to the public, drew a massive turnout from across the city and the state.
This remarkable event showcased a diverse array of military skills and expertise rarely displayed for the general public. The audience marveled at the Fly Past featuring Fighters and Helicopters, along with the breathtaking precision of Sky Divers who descended from 12,000 feet.
The equestrian showcase included a standing salute, tent pegging, and hanky picking by adept Army riders and horses, captivating all in attendance. The exhibition encompassed Army Aviation Combat display & STIE Ops, Air Warriors drill, a motorbike display, and mesmerizing flights of micro-light aircraft.
The event left an indelible mark on all spectators, offering a glimpse into the extraordinary skills and capabilities of the Indian Armed Forces.
