Assam Rifles under the aegis HQ IGAR(S) organised a wreath laying ceremony for Lnk/GD (Late) Iman Singh Gurung who made the supreme sacrifice while fighting with insurgents at Peshami post, Tuensang district, Nagaland on 6th January 1964.
The ceremony began with the Adjutant of the unit laying the wreath, followed by a solemn speech addressing all ranks and narrating the inspiring story of the braveheart.
3 Officers, 18 Junior Commissioned Officers, and 150 Other Ranks from the Battalion paid their deep homage by laying wreaths and presenting a Guard of Honour.
