Assam Rifles under the aegis HQ IGAR(S) organised a wreath laying ceremony for Rfn/GD (Late) Mangal Singh Lepcha who gave supreme sacrifice while fighting with insurgents at Peshami post on 09 Jan 1964 in Tuensang district of Nagaland.
The wreath laying ceremony commenced with the wreath laying by the Commandant of the unit followed by a motivational speech addressing all ranks and narrating the inspiring story of the braveheart.
Five Officers, 20 Junior Commissioned Officers and 145 Other Ranks of the Battalion paid tribute by laying wreaths and presenting Guard of Honour.
