In an effort to enhance the quality of life in remote villages of Manipur through sustainable means, the Assam Rifles, operating under the aegis of IGAR (South), distributed 20 solar street lights to Chamu village in Kamjong District as part of the OP SADBHAVANA project on January 9, 2024.
Amidst a severe electricity shortage in the region, endeavors like these infuse hope into the lives of residents in remote areas. The locals in Chamu village, grappling with such challenges, expressed deep gratitude for the assistance provided by Assam Rifles. This initiative not only addresses a pressing need but also fosters strengthened cooperation and synergy with the local populace, creating a positive impact on community relations.
Additionally, in its continuing efforts to work for the betterment of the local populace, Assam Rifles) provided five sets of computer and 10 Street Lights for Y Ngahmun Vangkho Village, Moreh, Tengnoupal District under Operation Sadbhavana Project on 8 Jan 2024.
Assam Rifles has been making efforts to address the grievances to ensure a better and positive environment among the local populace. The villagers of Y Ngahmun Vangkho village extended their heartfelt gratitude to the Assam Rifles for the noble gesture.
The project will serve as an impetus to improve the relations as well as build mutual trust between Security Forces and the local populace.
