Inauguration of Multipurpose Hall for Skill Development Centre for Women at K Somrei Village:

Assam Rifles proudly inaugurated a Multipurpose Hall for Skill Development Centre for Women at K Somrei Village, Manipur, as part of its ongoing women empowerment initiatives. The ceremony, held on 23rd January 2024, witnessed the ribbon-cutting by the eldest lady of the village, symbolizing the beginning of a new chapter in the empowerment of women.

This initiative is part of Assam Rifles’ broader commitment to uplift the living standards of women by providing avenues for skill development and sustainable livelihoods in a dignified manner. The residents, expressing their gratitude through the village secretary, acknowledged the positive impact of Assam Rifles in enhancing the socio-economic fabric of the region.

Distribution and Installation of Solar Street Lights at Karang Village, Bishnupur District:

Simultaneously, under the Op Sadbhavana project, Assam Rifles distributed and installed 10 solar street lights in Karang Village, Bishnupur District, Manipur. This event, held on the same day, exemplifies Assam Rifles’ commitment to improving the quality of life in remote villages.
