Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South), organised a comprehensive Security Meet with village representatives in two distinct locations, fostering collaboration and coordination with the local populace.
In Bishnupur District, a Security Meet was convened on February 3, with representatives from villages near Loktak Lake. Attended by 20 villagers, the session delved into discussions about cooperation and coordination with security forces. Villagers candidly shared their experiences, perspectives, and challenges arising from the recent outbreak of violence in the area. Expressing concern about the region’s significance, they pledged support to Assam Rifles in upholding peace.
Simultaneously, in Chandel District, Assam Rifles organized a Security Co-ordination Meeting at Berukhudam Village. The meeting, attended by 12 individuals, including the Village Chief and Ex-Servicemen, addressed various administrative issues and emphasized coordinated efforts for security and development. The discussions aimed at effectively tackling current security challenges and fostering a synchronized approach to maintaining peace and stability in the region.
Assam Rifles reiterated its commitment to the area’s peace and security, highlighting the importance of such meetings and active people participation in ensuring a coordinated response to emerging security concerns.
