Assam Rifles under the aegis Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) organised a Security Coordination Meeting at Serou village, Kakching District, Manipur. The meeting was attended by Officers of Assam Rifles, BSF and Manipur Police deployed in the region. Various issues pertaining to Security, administration and relevant coordinated efforts were discussed.
The collaborative initiative was aimed at addressing current security challenges effectively with insights to foster a synchronized approach and collaboration among security forces to maintain peace and stability in the region. Assam Rifles reaffirming its commitment to maintain peace and security highlighted the importance of coordinated response to emerging security concerns.
ASSAM RIFLES CONCLUDED PRE- RECRUITMENT TRAINING FOR SSC GD RALLY ASPIRANTS AT VILLAGES VENG AND SANAIKOT, CHURACHANDPUR DISTRICT, MANIPUR
Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) concluded pre- recruitment training for SSC GD Constable Recruitment Rally aspirants for the year 2024 on 05 February 2024 at Veng and Sanaikot villages, Churachandpur District of Manipur.
The four weeks training capsule was organised at Assam Rifles Camp at Veng and Sanaikot for the aspirants. The aim of the training was to prepare the young aspirants from remote areas and economically challenged backgrounds for the upcoming written tests. A total of 99 aspirants from villages of Churachandpur district benefitted from the said training program. The training program concluded with a mock test, a motivational lecture and elaborative information on procedures of upcoming recruitment rally.
ASSAM RIFLES CONDUCTS MEDICAL CAMP AT CHANDEL & TEGNOUPAL DISTRICTS
In the wake of ongoing ethnic tensions, Assam Rifles took a humanitarian stride by organizing a medical camp at Chandel, District, Manipur under Op Sadbhavna on 5th February .
This initiative aimed to provide crucial healthcare services to the residents of the remote village, who have been adversely affected by the recent unrest.
The medical camp, organised by the Assam Rifles, brought together a dedicated team of medical professionals and support staff. The camp offered a range of services, including general health check-ups, basic medical treatments, and distribution of essential medications. Total of 212 people were in attendance at the camp.
The team also focused on educating the community about hygiene practices and preventive healthcare measures.
In a similar such endeavour, Assam Rifles Facilitated Comprehensive Health Checkup in Machi Village, Manipur on 5th February, under the Assam Rifles Civic Action Program (ARCAP),by organising a substantial health checkup for expecting mothers, rural women, and children in Machi village, Tengnoupal District. Total 276 women and children benefitted from the consultations, checkups, medicines, and health supplements to women and children Lead by the Chief Medical Officer, Assam Rifles, the medical camp exemplifies a commitment to delivering essential healthcare services directly to the community’s doorstep. This strategic approach aligns with Assam Rifles’ broader mission to enhance the overall well-being of the regions it serves.
ASSAM RIFLES ORGANISED INTERACTION WITH EX-SERVICEMEN OF BISHNUPUR DISTRICT (MANIPUR) AT SENDRA
Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) organised Interaction with Ex-Servicemen of Bishnupur district at Sendra, Bishnupur District (Manipur) on 6th February .
The interaction was conducted with an aim to understand the problems faced by Ex-servicemen and also to work out measures that would contribute towards their welfare. Socio- economic development projects were also discussed at length alongwith upcoming job opportunities for the youth in area of responsibility which included Agniveers and sports quota entry in Armed Forces.
The Ex-Servicemen pledged to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Assam Rifles and take efforts for the welfare, development and uplifment of society during these trying times.
