RECOVERY OF ARMS AND WAR LIKE STORES IN JOINT OPERATION BY ASSAM RIFLES AND MANIPUR POLICE

Based on specific inputs a joint column of Assam Rifles and Manipur police launched a search operation in Sangaikot area of Churachandpur District of Manipur on 10 Feb 2024. The search operation lead to recovery of total 13 weapons including one Tear Gas Gun, two 9 mm pistols along with magazines, six single barrel rifles and four improvised heavy mortars. The recovered weapons and war like stores have been handed over to Sangaikot Police.

ASSAM RIFLES HANDED OVER AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENTS TO AIBOL JOUPI VILLAGE

The Assam Rifles under aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South), in a commendable initiative under AR CAP, handed over three cultivators, seeds, saplings and manure to Aibol Joupi Village.

This significant project aims to provide organic farming and self-sustenance for the villagers of Aibol Joupi. The handing over ceremony was witnessed by approximately 100 villagers highlighting the collaborative effort to uplift the social development in the area.

The event culminated with refreshments for the villagers, fostering a sense of camraderie and showcased the Assam Rifles commitment to holistic development of the communities.

ASSAM RIFLES DISTRIBUTES HUMANITARIAN AID ON 10 FEB 24 AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS

Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarter Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) in a remarkable display of compassionate service conducted an interaction followed by distribution of relief materials at relief camps of Lingsiphai & Mata villages, Churachandpur district on 10 Feb 2024. Approximately 64 individuals were benefited by the same.

In the same vein Assam Rifles also interacted with villagers of Komlakhong village, Imphal West District on 10 Feb 24 and distributed stationary items to kids bringing smiles to innocent faces of the children.

Further, Assam Rifles provided humanitarian assistance at “Our Home” Orphanage in Tushar village, Ukhrul district of Manipur by distributing clothes, shoes, stationary, and essential ration supplies to 26 children, including 17 boys and 9 girls.

The village authorities involved expressed their heartfelt gratitude toward the Assam Rifles in catering to the basic needs of the future generation and acknowledged the efforts of Security Forces in restoration of normalcy.
