Assam Rifles in its ongoing commitment to community development and youth & women empowerment, distributed 10 sewing machines and a computer set with printer to the residents of Oinam Village. The initiative aims to enhance skill development opportunities and promote digital literacy among the villagers.
The distribution ceremony held on 14 February 2024 witnessed enthusiastic participation from the residents of Oinam Village, who expressed gratitude for the support extended by the Assam Rifles. The sewing machines will enable women to explore entrepreneurship opportunities and become self-reliant by starting their own tailoring businesses.
Furthermore, the provision of computer set with printer to government high school will facilitate access to digital education and technology-enabled services therby empowering the students & youth with essential skills of the digital literacy. The initiative aligns with Assam Rifles mission to foster socio-economic development and meaningful upliftment of all strata of society in the region.
