ASSAM RIFLES SUPPORTS INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT IN LAIBI VILLAGE, TENGNOUPAL DISTRICT UNDER OPERATION SADBHAVANA
In Village Laibi, Tengnoupal district, as part of Operation Sadbhavana, construction materials have been provided for the building of a girls’ toilet block and a rain shed. This initiative directly addresses the critical need for enhanced sanitation facilities, particularly for the girl students of Laibi, ensuring a hygienic and conducive environment for their education.
This contribution highlights a proactive role in promoting social welfare and empowering local communities. By addressing the pressing need for improved sanitation infrastructure, it demonstrates a commitment to enhancing the quality of life and educational opportunities for the residents of the village.

ASSAM RIFLES DISTRIBUTES RELIEF MATERIALS PACKAGES IN P SALEM & PALDAI VILLAGES OF CHANDEL DISTRICT, MANIPUR UNDER ASSAM RIFLES CIVIC ACTION PROGRAM
In the villages of P Salem and Paldai in Chandel District, Manipur, there existed a pressing need for essential amenities to support livelihoods and meet daily needs. The lack of access to basic necessities posed significant challenges for the villagers, impacting their quality of life and economic well-being. To address these concerns, a project was initiated to distribute Relief Material Packages to the villagers as part of the Assam Rifles Civic Action Program for the year 2023-24.
The distribution of Relief Material Packages comprising of sleeping bags, clothing, toiletries, personal hygiene items, grocery etc, marked a small yet crucial step towards alleviating the hardships faced by the villagers. These packages contained essential items that would assist the villagers in meeting their daily needs and potentially generate financial benefits, thereby contributing to the improvement of their socio-economic conditions.
Assam Rifles’ commitment to fostering positive changes and contributing to the well-being of the communities was evident through this initiative. By addressing the immediate needs of the villagers and enhancing the socio-economic fabric of the village, Assam Rifles aimed to strengthen the relationship between security forces and the local population, even during challenging times.
ASSAM RIFLES PROVIDED CRITICAL CARE TO ROAD ACCIDENT VICTIM
Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) provided critical first-aid to road accident victim at Mantriphukri, Imphal West District, Manipur on 16 Feb 2024. Assam Rifles column deployed at Manthripukhri found an individual on the roadside bleeding profusely after a road accident.
Recognising the serious injuries to the head and body of the individual, critical medical care and first-aid dressing to the individual was provided by Assam Rifles Nursing Assistant. Police and Ambulance services were notified and the individual was taken to Raj Medicity Hospital, AOC North wherein during the initial examination the doctor declared the timely action by the troops likely saved the individual from a potentially life threatening head injury.
