In a major successful operation against anti-narcotics activities, Assam Rifles recovered narcotics and apprehended three persons from general area Siahatla (Bualpui Road) Siaha district of Mizoram.
On receipt of specific input regarding movement of illegal narcotics items from general area Siahatla, Siaha District, an operation was launched by Assam Rifles on 22 February 2024 and recovered 22 Soap Cases of Heroin No 2 weighing 277 gm costing Rs. 1,93,90,000/- in international market. The team also apprehended three individuals out of which one is a Myanmar National .
Assam Rifles has been continuously operating against the illegal narcotics and drug smuggling in the state in an endeavour to strengthen the future of Mizoram.
