Dr Debashish Danda who was the present president of APLAR ( Asia Pacific league against Rheumatism ) and past president of IRA ( Indian Rheumatology Association) and the founder Professor of the department of Rheumatology at CMC Vellore passed away in a car accident near Vellore on Saturday.
He had served CMC’s Department of Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology.
After serving in CMC for 27 years he retired on October 2023.
He hails from Manu bazar of Tripura. He passed his higher Secondary examination from Ramesh School, Udaipur.
