The Locals of Pangaltabi and Serou villages were facing problems because of non-availability of safe drinking water since long due to non-existence of RO Water Plant in the locality. Villages had to arrange drinking water from distant locations. The lack of adequate drinking water supply was creating health issues to include water borne diseases and also hindering their ability to carry out daily chores and activities.
The provision of 500 LPH RO Water Plants at both the locations is a special initiative of Assam Rifles under Operation Sadbhavna for the year 2023-24 which addresses a basic but crucial requirement of locals and to alleviating the hardships being faced by the villagers. The availability of clean drinking water will help villagers to be self-dependent and to avoid many common water borne diseases.
The initiative of Assam Rifles aimed to support locals during challenging times in order to enhance the socio-economic stature of the villages in the area. The village authorities expressed their heartfelt gratitude recognising Assam Rifles unwavering commitment to Society.
