The Locals of Berukhudam village and around were facing problems because of non-availability of varied medicines in their nearest PHC. Villagers especially children were suffering due to inaccessibility of medical facility in the region. The lack of adequate staff and medicine stock in nearest PHC has led to health issues among villagers hindering their ability to carry out daily chores and activities.
Recognizing the requirement of fulfilling the basic need of medical facility for local populace in the area of responsibility, Assam Rifles conducted a medical camp at Berukhudam Village of Chandel district, Manipur under Operation Sadbhavna for the year 2023-24.
The diagnosis by a Medical Officer and provision of required prescription medicines at Phundrei Village will address the very basic but crucial requirement of locals and will alleviate health and hygiene grievances in the village. The availability of adequate medical care and medication will help villagers to be healthy and to be able to steer away from common diseases by building immunity.
A total of 212 people attended the medical camp. The village authorities expressed their heartfelt gratitude recognising the unwavering commitment of the Assam Rifles to society.
