As part of International Women’s Day Celebration on 08 Mar, TriShakti Corps Army Wives Welfare Association organised number of events across North Bengal and Sikkim.
At Sukna, a special event was organised to Inspire Inclusion through pursuit of Higher Education, Enhancement of Higher Qualifications towards achievement of Self Dependendence and highlight role of Women in Societal Development through avenues of Entrepreneurship.
A health awareness camp was organised at Chungthang in North Sikkim. Comprehensive health check ups and awareness lectures on Basic Life Saving techniques were conducted for more than 200 locales.
AWWA functionaries reached out to specially abled women of Mayalmu Shelter Home, Gangtok. Provisioning of medicines and upgradation of infrastructure under Operation Sadbhavana initiative made the day special.
Walkathon was organised at different locations in North Bengal and Sikkim.
The vibrant participation of the Indian Army families echoed the strength and resilience of Nari Shakti and resolve to strive towards a brighter, more inclusive future and contribute to Nation Building initiatives.
