The rally attracted more than 1500 ex-servicemen and their dependents from the districts of Lower Assam. Event with its motto of“Hamesha Apno ke Sath” aimed at reaching out to maximum veterans andtheir families to initiate resolution to their issues related to pensions, medical lprovisions and welfare schemes. The event was marked by felicitation of Veer Naris, Veer Matas, War Veterans and provision of wheelchairs to differently disabled veterans.
The mega event facilitated an array of facilities to Veterans and their families
under one roof. On spot resolution and rectification of issues with respect to pension & emoluments were addressed through representatives of CDA (Prayagraj), Record Offices and Zilla Sainik Boards. Medical assistance and CSD facilities were provided to the rally attendees through medical camps and CSD outlets. To add to the event, outlets by Pragati Edutech displaying employment opportunities, Kisan Jagrukta camp and extensions of nationalised banks were also established. An opportunity to register in Agniveer scheme for the eligible wards of veterans was made available.
The event reaffirmed Indian Army’s firm commitment towards veterans, veer naris, and their families.
