Assam Rifles recovered a huge cache of War like stores i.e 175 sets of Walkie Talkie worth Rs 26 lakhs that was being transported from Siaha (New Colony) towards Indo -Myanmar border and also apprehended two persons from General Area Siahtla, Siaha District on 11 Mar 2024. Total value of recovered War like stores is approximately Rs 26,00,000/-
Based on specific input regarding transportation of these walkie talkies , Assam Rifles team in coordination with Mizoram Police established a Vehicle Check Post which intercepted the suspected vehicle alongwith two persons and illegal Walkie Talkie sets.
The apprehended persons and recoveries made are being handed over to Siaha Police Station, Siaha District for further investigation.
